Directions

Directions from Cork

The farm is signposted from the village of Rathcormac. It is 1km from the village on the Ballyhooly road. Coming from Cork to Dublin, leave the main road at the Watergrasshill exit and Rathcormac is the next village. Pass the church in the middle of the village, on the left and take a left here. We are 1 km up this road on the right.

Directions from Dublin

Coming from the Dublin side, leave the main road either before or after Fermoy. If you leave before Fermoy and go through the town you will avoid the toll on the motorway. Rathcormac is the next village. As you enter Rathcormac village, take the first turn right and we are 1 km up this road on the right-hand side.

PLEASE NOTE: The coldstore is only open by arrangement and all fruit MUST be ordered in advance of collection. All orders should be placed 2 days in advance of collection. For deliveries, I need orders one week in advance to allow for transport to the various destinations.

Eircode; P61 DW26.

Our Farm

Our farm in North Cork is very wildlife friendly and this can be seen by the huge presence of all sorts of flora and fauna. We are in the Rural Environment Protection Scheme (REPS)funded by the EU, and crops are also grown especially for the benefit for game birds and wildlife.

We have two small ponds on the farm, and on occasion one can see otters, newts, and lampreys which are common here. The Hen Harrier also hunts here at times as well as Kestrels, Sparrow Hawks and Merlins. At night we have the Barn Owl and Long Eared Owl. Conservation headlands are used in the fields as well as beetle banks to encourage insects. Trees and shrubs, such as buddleia, are chosen especially for their benefit to wildlife.

In conjunction with Rathcormac Game And Wildlife Club we are re-introducing the native Grey Partridge to to our parish and surrounding areas. Through the club’s website we also sell game crops and wildflower seed mixes.
